Basic pizza dough recipe

Basic pizza dough

This is enough for our family of 4. My recipe is a mixture of ones i have used over the years, tweaked, amalgamated and adapted to suit us. The kids love to help me make it.

12oz plain white flour
1 teasp salt
7g packet of dried yeast
1 teasp caster sugar
2 tablespoons olive oil
8fl oz hot tap water

Method: mix all dry ingredients together, mix in wet ingredients. kneed for 5 mins. Leave to rise in a covered bowl for 1hr 30. roll out. cover with toppings. cook on 200'c for 15 mins

Toppings: we use oregano, salt, pepper, ketchup, tomato purée, fresh tomatoes, mushrooms, sliced beef, spring onions, red peppers, cheese...that's our favourite and the moment!
